LEGO Disney Princess Moana 41150 “Great Adventures of the South Sea”

Piacevolmente stupita dalla Lego che in qualità e dovizia di particolari non si smentisce mai.Era ancora al cinema il film Oceania che subito era in commercio questo set che ci permette di rivivere le scene del film Disney, ne ho già acquistati due da regalare a delle amichette di mia figlia appassionate di Lego e dei film Disney (il prezzo di € 39,99 è indicativamente pari a quello dei negozi di giocattoli della mia zona ma la comodità di farsi arrivare tutto a casa in tempo rapidi è impagabile).La scatola ha le seguenti dimensioni: 25 x 26 x 5 cm.All’interno troviamo:Personaggi: mini-doll di Vaiana, il grande Maui, il gallo Heihei e due KakamoraIl catamarano a vela di Vaiana che misura 16 cm in altezza, 13 cm in lunghezza e 13 cm in larghezza. (con vano apribile sotto il ponte).L’isola di Te Fiti misura 11 cm di altezza, 17 cm di lunghezza e 5 cm di profondità (con funzione di trasformazione).Accessori: una banana, un ananas, una mappa, un remo ed il cuore di Te Fiti.Questo set è consigliato per bambini con fascia d’età di 6-12 anni.

Okay I will freely admit that Moana is definitely my favourite Disney Princess and I think I may love the film even more than my children do. When I spotted this set although I told myself it was for my children, I definitely bought it so that I could build it. That being said my children absolutely love this set and have loved playing with this alongside the 

Moana’s Island Adventure

 set as we have had both of these for a few months now. Hopefully Lego may bring out more Moana sets in the future such as possibly a huge Kakamora ship like from the film and something to depict the Realm of Monsters and Tamatoa.One minor disappointment I would like to mention is the free poster which is little more than a large advertisement flier as it isn’t just a Moana poster and shows four of the current Lego Disney sets. I think most children would have assumed there was going to be a full Moana poster inside and my daughter was a little disappointed with this.Size:-The boat measures 22cm long by 19cm to the top of the mast and 10cm wide. The island measures 17cm wide by 6cm deep by 11.5cm tall. The small Kakamora boat measures 3cm wide by 3cm deep by 4.5cm tall. Maui measures 7cm tall, Hehei measures 2cm tall and Moana measures 4.5cm tall.Age Suitability:-The set is aimed at children between 6 and 12 years old and I think the age recommendation is about right but there are a couple of smaller trickier bits that a younger child may need some help with.Build Bags etc:-The set has one instruction booklet with easy to follow step by step instructions and three main build bags. The set has 307 pieces plus some small additional spares. The set also comes with a sticker sheet, the sail and Maui packed separately.Figures:-The set comes with Moana and Maui figures along with two small buildable Kakamora and Hehei the rooster.Parts:-In addition to the main boat and island there is also the Kakamora boat and Maui’s hook that needs to be built.Features:-The boats sail can be turned and one small gripe is that the pattern is not on both sides. The boats hatch can be opened and Hehei, the banana and pineapple can be popped inside along with the map. Only Maui’s arms and wrists can be moved which means he cannot sit but he can hold his hook and stand on the boat with Moana.The island has a turning function which means that once Moana replaces the heart of Te Fiti that Te Kā can be turned around to be replaced with the face of Te Fiti. There is a little pull down part below Te Kā/Te Feti where the heart can be placed and then pushed back up if wished.My children love this set and it was a really nice set to build for them. I managed to buy the set for around a third less than its full price and so it was really good value at that price. Another brilliant set from Lego and I’m hoping they bring out some more Moana sets in the future.
